CFC is the worlds largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 200 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally to help to raise millions of dollars each year. Right here in Cheyenne, WY, staff from the VA Medical Center participates in this campaign in many ways. One of the special events that is designed add some fun into the valuable event, is through the facilities auction. Staff donate crafts and various items to an “auction” where federal employees can make their purchases by completing a CFC pledge form.
Cheyenne VAMC Associate Director Liz Lowery says, “Participating in the CFC is one easy step that federal employees can take to help make others lives better.”
The 2010 CFC Campaign runs until December 15. Donations on pledge forms can be designated to the charity of the employee’s choice. Eligible, non-profit organizations that provide health and human services include global, national and local charities.
