Intensive Community Mental Health Recovery Services
The Cheyenne VA Intensive Community Mental Health Recovery (ICMHR) RANGE and E-RANGE programs are innovative programs that provide intensive case management services in the community to Veterans who have severe and persistent psychiatric illness. ICMHR RANGE and E-Range services are characterized by high staff/client ratios, community-based service delivery, practical problem-solving approach, and high continuity of care.
The program serves persons with mental illnesses that have been severe enough to require longer and/or multiple hospital stays recently. The specific referral criteria are that a person has experienced 30 days of inpatient psychiatric hospitalization and/or 3 or more admissions to inpatient psychiatric units during the previous year (although exceptions may apply), primary diagnosis of major mental illness, and willingness to participate in the general program at the time of referral and upon discharge from the inpatient hospital setting.
The ICMHR program serves veterans within the Cheyenne VA Medical Center Patient Care Service area of Colorado or Wyoming.
