Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program
The PRRTP assists Veterans living with PTSD and/or substance use issues by instilling hope, validating strengths, teaching skills, and facilitating community integration so that each can develop meaningful self-determined roles in the community.
The PRRTP is a 10-bed residential treatment program. It is designed to help guide
Veterans through the process of putting their lives back on track. The overall goal is to support each individual’s potential for recovery as a personal journey. This will involve developing hope and purpose and building a secure base of natural supports to enhance a strong sense of self. It also will involve establishing supportive relationships, providing empowerment, fostering social inclusion, and developing or enriching coping skills. Veterans can select from a variety of evidence-based interventions, tailored to meet their individual goals. Group and individual treatments include
- Seeking Safety
- Relapse Prevention
- Prolonged Exposure Therapy
- Cognitive processing Therapy for PTSD
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
Any housing and employment needs are also addressed. Typical length of stay is approximately 5 to 7 weeks. Veterans also strive towards attaining stable housing; meaningful work activity and/ or income; and/or improved medication compliance through the provision of holistic case management services; vocational counseling and placement services.
